To ride a horse is to ride the sky.

A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves:
Strong, powerful, and beautiful
and the capacity to escape from the mundane.

I made this wall hanging for Amy.  

It began life as a large commercial panel with four large horses, 

lots of sky, and some words of wisdom on the bottom.  

Too big, I thought
so I cut out these two horses and a portion of the sky and setting sun.
I gave the piecelots of machine thread play 
which created nice dimension and texture.

Overall, I am quite pleased with results.
