Heaviest June rainfal on record

Oh that rain.

Yes, the rain continues here in the northeast.

On Friday, I woke to more rain -- a hard rain with lots of thunder. But the sun made a friendly appearance and the day turned hot and humid until mid afternoon when wild storms brought us high high winds and heavy driving rains. I drove through the heaviest rain on my way home to the coast from artstream studios in Rochester -- the rain looked like curtains blowing across the highway. North of York, along the Maine/New Hampshire border, there was quarter-sized hail, lots of cloud-to-ground lightening and 60 mile an hour winds. A serious storm indeed. But York was spared this storm: no rain and we even ate dinner outside on the deck.

YIPPEE! No rain on Saturday. Just part sun/part cloud all day; Larry got outside to do a little upkeep on the garden. Dinner on the deck again. What a treat!

Today? Dark and dreary again with heavy rain. Oh no. Oh no. Not again. This brings the total to 17 days of rain in June.

This is a short and plain post today. Something is ailing Blogspot: my post editor was stuck in Hindi characters. Believe it!! After I tried re-setting the language, the entire editor tool bar disappeared except for font selection. Something strange is happening somewhere in the cyber world. Maybe its related to this rain..................

We are off to celebrate my Mom's 86th birthday today. A party is hosted by my sister Donna in Templeton, Massachusetts. My mom raised six children; she had ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Pat,
Sorry about all the rain... that is an occasional challenge with the Northeast...

After moving to Florida, and missing New England, Denise and I rented a condo at Killington for a month...We experienced 28 days of rain...

It is joyful when the sun shines...
Take advantage...

God Bless,

Randy

Hey, Randy, thanks for visiting my new blog. You are right about New England. Lots of challenges. And, here it is, now Sunday night and it is still raining!!!!

Sorry to hear about your 28 days of rain. A woman I met the other day said, "And, I came here from Los Angeles for this????" Sad comparison if you ask me......
