Like a quick kiss

cooler temps today
ocean storms
wild surf

August rushes by like desert rainfall,
A flood of frenzied upheaval,
Expected,
But still catching me unprepared.
Like a matchflame
Bursting on the scene,
Heat and haze of crimson sunsets.
Like a dream
Of moon and dark barely recalled,
A moment,
Shadows caught in a blink.
Like a quick kiss;
One wishes for more
But it suddenly turns to leave,
Dragging summer away.

Good entry, Pat. I especially like the photo of the surf. Congratulations to Larry on his beautiful tomatoes, he did it! Even after all the rain you had in June.

oh Celeste. Sorry to disappoint. The last photo is of rose hips -- just coming out now from the beach roses.

But. Regarding tomatoes. We have brought in 3 tomatoes so far. We figure the initial investment makes the cost about $47/pound!!!! lol

See what a horticultural wonder I am? Red and round equals tomatoes!!! So those are rose hips, of course, now I see the leaves too, they are not tomato plant leaves. Oh well...
$47/pound tomatoes are to be throroughly enjoyed!
