There must be some mental telepathy going on since I have been thinking of doing much the same thing - simple embroidery on solid fabric. Looks real good. Now I have to refresh my mind on what Kantha stitching is. Thanks for this post.

yes, i agree.....was organizing fabric and other things in my studio space when i re-discovered this beautiful indigo. had been thinking about a figure on solid for a while....this was just the ticket. i left a comment on your blog describing kantha stitching.

Pat, this is just incredible. Making a picture is one thing, but this has movement in it as well...... I am inspired by your work yet again..

Petrus ..... stars and dancers.... dancing stars ... stars in my stitching ......

India .... i first started drawing with needle and thread after taking a class in kantha stitching with Dorothy Caldwell. now that was a treat!
