Let the rain......

Let the rain kiss you.

Let the rain beat upon
your head with silver liquid drops.

Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated my mom's 86th birthday at a party hosted by my sister Donna. We were 31 strong and ranged in age from 3 months to 94 years. The party was a great success, the food was terrific and the weather cooperated allowing us to be outside for the entire length of the event.

It rained all the way home. It rained hard rain all night long. It is raining now and is expected to continue into tomorrow, Wednesday and maybe even Thursday. I am beginning to HATE rain.

All fingers and toes are crossed for fair weather come Wednesday when my sister Shelly arrives with her family of five, including the twins, Ari and Noah, age 3 and Esther, age 7. What a treat. They love playing on Long Sands Beach and call it Pat and Larry's Beach!

Ark wanted, good condition

Rain Update:
It has now rained 15 days of 24 days in June and the rainfall total has exceeded 4 inches. In the evening yesterday, there appeared the possibility of a clearing; it was a short-lived but welcomed hiatus from the constant rain. The wind picked up and the sky began to lighten. As did my spirits for the possibility of an outside day today and a chance to survey the damage to flowers, herbs, vegetables. By 8 it was raining again and has continued throughout the night.

This morning, heavy rain continues.
