Korak Under Gold

 hand-printed leaf under gold organza

center medalion for a korak patch

a companion
 and another
audition

a bin of fragments

and so I'm thinking and wondering.  a little 'what if' today.  what if I bead the leaf.  or embroider the veins.

It is a treat to see how this technique seems to inspire you. And how you transfer into a modern language of creation.
Doesn't it feel like having fallen in love?

thank you, Francoise. this is from a quite large collection of naturally dyed fabric the colors of which came from my herbaceous border that included both perennial flowers, herbs and even some annuals.

thank you both.

i thought i was on to 'something' earlier tonight. then i hit a road block.....need to sleep on.....hand the pieces on a wall and live with them a while......

T, tonight i quilted on the major veins in the leaf....and quite like the result.....with a bit of cotton batting under the leaf the effect is sort of like trapunto .... or something.....
